The annual Gedächtnismesse or Memorial Mass will be held on Sunday, November 8, at 2 pm in St. Clements Church in Romeo, Michigan. The mass is in honor of the deceased members of Edelweiss as well as the Austrian Society. We honor especially those members who have passed away since the last mass. This year, five members of Edelweiss will be remembered. Edelweiss members will play and sing the beautiful music that surrounds the mass. Anyone may attend the mass; no notice is needed.
After the mass, we move next door to the fellowship hall for a luncheon. This year's luncheon is $10/per person. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. Our kitchen chairwoman, Annette Edelhauser, will provide lunch meats and cheese, bread, and condiments. Bar chairman Jim Green will take care of the beer, wine, and soft drinks. It's an afternoon of camaraderie and pleasant conversation with friends. Please let Renee know that you will be attending so that we have enough food and beverage on hand.
