INFO: Gaukapelle Practice Weekend

For the second year in a row, the Gauverband's Gaukapelle will be meeting in Detroit, hosted by Edelweiss, to practice. The members of the brass band will come from Milwaukee, D.C., Pennsylvania, and other places to practice together because they'll be playing at the 26. Gaufest in Buffalo this summer. The Kapelle is under the auspices of Gaumusikwart Rick Michels and is directed by Andy Hacker of Milwaukee; numerous members belong to Edelweiss. They are all excellent musicians who spend many hours in practice or with other bands. Only about once a year do they play together--and they sound terrific! We look forward to a little socializing as well as showing our friends some Edelweiss Detroit hospitality.
