Carl John Fina, September 11, 1932 - May 20, 2024
Carl Fina, age 91 passed away on May 20, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Katharina. Both Carl and Katie have been long-time members of the Edelweiss club. He was a loving father of Christine Holmes and John and Eric Fina. He was a proud grandfather of Tyler Fina.
He joined Edelweiss in April 1973. He received a Goldenes Edelweiss in 1990. Throughout his years as a member, Carl was always willing to pitch in and help. He readily assisted his wife Katie in the kitchen, and cooked in the sausage booth. He participated in the Volkstanz Group and was a flag carrier for Edelweiss and the Austrian Society. He was also a member of the GACC.
A Memorial Visitation will take place Thursday, June 6, 2024, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Kieran Catholic Church, 53600 Mound Road (between 24-mile road and 26-mile road) until time of his Memorial Mass at 10:00 am. Donations are welcome to the Alzheimer’s Association.
